MITCH Dodson claimed a final round stoppage in Falmouth after travelling down to Cornwall without a trainer.

The Fitzpatrick Boxing Gym fighter headed south having been up for work from 5am in the morning before fighting on the same evening.

And despite not having any coach in his corner he put his previous outings loss behind him.

Coach Paddy Fitzpatrick said: "This time last year Mitch would have had concerns about everything and anything on fight night.

"So to be willing to take on that fight in order to practice operating when everything is stacked against him proved to himself that everything is in the mind.

"Mitch is 12 to 18 months from turning pro and that fight has given him an excellent platform to grow from."
