RYAN Martin has been handed a tough test for his night in the limelight later this month.

The unbeaten welterweight will headline KM Promotions' and Neilsons Boxing's show at the Grange Drive Community Centre on Saturday June 27 as he makes the step up to eight rounds for the first time in his fledgling pro career.

The former Walcot and England amateur will go toe-to-toe with southpaw slugger Faheem Khan.

Martin has comfortably won all four of his contests with some classy performances.

Khan, meanwhile, is a familiar face to Swindon fight fans after stunning Garvey Kelly at the Oasis Leisure Centre back in February.

Danny Bharj has now been added to the 'New Generation' bill for his second outing in the paid ranks.

Another former Walcot and England amateur, Bharj will take on the durable Matt Seawright.

Meanwhile, Swindon-based female boxer Kelly Morgan, a former England netball international and British javelin record-holder, is still to be matched as she makes her professional debut.

Morgan, who is trained by Richard Farnan, is likely to face an international opponent.

Light-heavyweight Bryn Wain is also making his debut on the show as he faces the Farnan-trained Lewis van Poetsch while Gloucester lighweight Akeen Ennis-Brown makes his pro bow against veteran Ibrar Riyaz.

Tickets for the show are priced £60 ringside/VIP and £35 standard and are available from www.kmpromotions.co.uk.
