JAMIE Cox is facing one of the biggest fights of his career when he looks to keep his dreams of a world title shot on track next month.

The WBO European super-middleweight champion has been to face the dangerous Sergey Khomitsky at Wembley Arena on September 26 on the undercard of Frank Buglioni's WBA world title shot against champion Fedor Chudinov, from Russia.

But Cox, who has won all 19 of professional contest to date, will only have to ask 'Wise Guy' Buglioni how big a job he has in front of him.

The 40-year-old, from the Ukraine, stopped the previously unbeaten Londoner in six rounds in April last year to claim the belt that the Swindon southpaw secured last month with a first round stoppage of Blas Miguel Martinez.

The Ghost also secured a draw against Trowbridge's reigning British middleweight champion Nick Blackwell in Monaco last October.

And the undefeated 28-year-old can also look to the previously undefeated super-middleweight prospect Adam Etches for advice as Khomitsky took his perfect record in March.

However, Khomitsky has been beaten on British shores with Martin Murray and Ryan Rhodes claim victories over him.

But for the 2006 Commonwealth Games gold medallist this is a must win fight as success in September could lead to a world title shot against the winner of Buglioni-Chudinov in the new year.
