WALCOT boxer Orgest Peroshi lost a thriller when he exited the CYP Championships at Bristol last Sunday, writes DAVE VEYSEY.
Walid Adenas, from the Heart of Portsmouth ABC, was the boxer who provided stern opposition in the Class C U69kgs encounter.
Both 17 year olds went to war from the opening bell, with Peroshi edging the opening three minutes with his heavy left hooks and straight rights just outscoring the Hampshire boxer’s left jabs and hooks.
But Adenas increased his workrate to take the middle session, which meant there was everything to play for during the final round.
A close three minutes followed, with both boxers scoring at will as thoughts of defence went out of the window.
At the final bell it was Adenas who was awarded a unanimous points decision by the ringside judges.
