KELLY Morgan maintained her perfect record with a points victory over rugged Bulgarian Borislava Goranova.

The Swindon-based WBC Silver middleweight champion, who has now won all five of her bouts to date, defeated the 38-year-old from Sofia 59-55 in Bournemouth tonight with a dominant performance.

Morgan’s manager and trainer Richard Farnan says that he will now push even harder to secure his fighter a dream world title shot.

“Kelly did well against an awkward opponent,” Farnan told the Advertiser. “Borislava went into survival mode.

"Kelly rocked her a couple of times, but out of the 44 losses she has only been stopped four times.

“Now we get on the phone to (WBC super-middleweight world champion) Nikki Adler’s manager to try and make it happen.

“We have already spoken and I know that she has been speaking to a couple of German promoters that are interested in the fight. This is what we want and what we are really going for.

“If for some reason it doesn’t come off then I’ll be pushing for (WBC middleweight world champion) Kali Reis through the WBC."
