WALCOT ABC are hosting their second show of the season at the Supermarine Sports and Social Club this Friday, writes DAVE VEYSEY.

In what promises to be a highly entertaining evening there will be around 14 of the club’s boxers in action on a 17-bout bill.

Heading the Walcot charge will be 13-year-old Kyran Rouse.

The Lydiard Park Academy pupil is enjoying an outstanding season and will be looking for his fourth consecutive victory.

Making his senior debut for the club will be Rahim Nanji.

Nanji boxed as a junior for Walcot almost a decade ago and has returned to the club recently to resurrect his boxing career.

Also in action will be Nanji’s younger brother Shakrukh, who will be looking to add another win to his debut success on the previous Walcot show.

Walcot’s girl power will be supplied by teenagers Sadie Harris and Poppy Dingwell.

Chief coach Harry Scott is pleased with how preparations have gone for the show, saying: “All of our boxers are training hard and can’t wait to enter the ring on Friday.

“Dan Hughes has done a super job with the match-making and our supporters should enjoy a great night of boxing.’’ Doors open at 7pm and the first bout is slated for 7.30pm.

Door entry is £10 for adults and £5 for U14s.
