THE opportunity to thump your boss is something many have dreamed of.
And to do so in public without any risk of facing the sack sounds too good for words.
But that is precisely what Daniel Harpe will be doing at the Premier Club in Ermin Street on Saturday, February 27 when he faces Kane Wollen at the Swindon RAW White Collar Fight Night.
Their middleweight clash is just one of 15 planned bouts on a lengthy card that should provide plenty of entertainment.
Harpe, 29, is the younger of the duo, while Wollen, 34, has sporting pedigree, being the cousin of former Swindon Town defender Terry Wollen.
Both men have been put through their paces by former Royal Marine Stuart Harfield at the Horseshoe Gym and are relishing the challenge.
Ahead of his first fight, Wollen, manager of Swindon Cars, said: “Daniel is one of my drivers and I’ve joked with him that I’ll put up the vehicle rent if he gets the decision. But seriously, we are both giving it a go as the whole night is trying to help a Swindon charity.
“Whatever the decision, we’ll both be back at work on the Monday.”
The event gets under way at 6pm and tickets are now on sale at £20. They can be purchased by calling 07590 495023.
