IT IS all to play for in Glos/Wilts this season according to Swindon skipper Andy Staff who takes his side to Tewkesbury this weekend.

With only 19 points between Biddestone, who sit a place below Swindon in ninth, and Burbage & Easton Royal in fourth, Staff knows that his side only need to put a string of results together to lift themselves up the table.

Chippenham took themselves above Swindon in the league last weekend with a 119-run win but despite the heavy defeat the County Ground captain is not concerned.

Swindon head to Tewkesbury who sit just a place and a point above them in the league with the same record of two wins and three defeats so far this campaign.

Tewkesbury beat bottom of the league Apperley last weekend by 42 runs but with the return of several players who were missing last Saturday Staff is hoping to kick start a, run of their own.

“I honestly don’t think there is a lot of difference between any of the teams in our league,” he said.

“Each game is a new game and we are confident that if we perform and play as well as we can we will go on and win the next one.

“Tewkesbury are one place above us and I think one point above us so it is all to play for.

“I think there is something ridiculous like eight points between fourth and eighth so if we put a couple of wins together we will soon move up the table.

“I’d like to think we have a good opportunity to go and win at Tewkesbury.

“We have a few players back so we should be in a stronger position than we were last weekend.

“We have played five and won two and lost three so we are not pressing the panic button just yet.

“I think it is going to be a really close league this year because there is not a lot of difference between the sides.

“It is just about putting a bit of form together and hopefully we can start a good run this weekend.”
