WILTSHIRE retained the Marlborough Cup when they beat Berkshire at Corsham on Sunday by 37 runs.

Wiltshire batted first and scored 235-8 in their 50 overs.

Tom Morton led the way with 69 but Wiltshire looked as if they might fall short of a par score at 182-8 before an unbroken stand of 53 for the ninth wicket between Ashur Morrison (43 not out) and Jake Roberts (32 not out) took them to a competitive score.

In reply, Berkshire lost four early wickets but rallied with James Morris scoring 59 and Euan Woods 62, but were all out for 198 with five overs remaining.

Jake Roberts took 3-52, Andy Carroll 2-17 and Jake Lintott 2-45.

Wiltshire next match sees them take on Hertfordshire in their first group match in the Unicorns Knockout Trophy at Warminster a week on Sunday (May 1, 11am).
