LECHLADE will be aiming to find that winning formula once again tomorrow when they welcome Biddestone to the Manor Ground.

Freddie Martin’s side fell to their first defeat of the new campaign last weekend as they were beaten by 33 runs at Gloucester City Winget.

Now the young captain must rally his troops for a Biddestone side that are sitting third from bottom in Premier Two Glos/Wilts.

“We need to get back to winning ways,” Martin said. “The Gloucester game was a bit of a wake-up call for us.

“We need to find that that motivation to rediscover that winning form once again.”

Martin’s cause against Biddestone will be helped by the return of wicketkeeper George Penfold, allowing overseas all-rounder Brad Dial to leave the gloves behind and move back up the batting order.

“With George being back this weekend it means we can move Brad back up the order to number three,” Martin said.

“It also means that I have another bowling option at my disposal.”
