NATIONWIDE House slipped to their second defeat of the Division One season as Box opened their win account with a six-wicket triumph in Division One.

Put into bat, House’s innings was ended in the 36th over as they were dismissed for 138, with Himanshu Suri top-scoring with 38.

Jordan Welsby led the attack with 3-33 from nine overs and Box had few difficulties in knocking off the required runs in 40 overs.

Richard Foley led the way with an unbeaten 68, Gerald Hayward (34) and Stephen Hall (33 not out) also weighing in as Joe Perkins took 2-20 for House.

Corsham 2nd remained top after claiming a seven-wicket win over Malmesbury.

James Pearce-Smith’s 87 not out helped Malmesbury reach 185-7 off their 45 overs, Simon Crampton taking 4-33 for Corsham.

Tom Abbott’s 54 and an unbeaten 49 from Charley Reed took Corsham to their target in the 40th over.

Winsley’s batsmen were in dominant form as they wrapped up a second win of the season with a 121-run thumping of Avebury.

Charlie Holton and Giles Williams shared a 172-run partnership for the second wicket to guide their side to a sizeable 279-4 off their 45 overs, opener Holton scoring 106 and Williams 101.

Avebury were never in the hunt with the reply, succumbing to 158 all out in the 38th over.

Division Two

BIDDESTONE 2nd dismissed Bath Hospitals for 143 in the 33rd over of their innings, Toby Patrick top scoring with 77 as Phil Knight took 4-10 for Biddestone.

Liam Boulton’s 79 not out sent Biddestone to their target for the loss of four wickets, despite Stuart Webb-Martin’s 3-16.

Bowlers Dean Bird (3-43), Matthew Harrington (2-16) and Danny Hall (2-29) helped Bradford on Avon dismiss Hinton Charterhouse for 182, Peter Borton scoring 52.

But Hinton struck back to dismiss Bradford 23 runs short of their target, Gary Archer taking 3-26, Borton 2-18 and Elliot Taylor 2-26 as Tony Burrows scored 35 in a losing cause.

RONY Allam was in sparking form, taking 5-18 in nine overs for Potterne 2nd against Swindon NALGO, for whom Prashant Joshi scored 49 in 116 all out.

Josh Hodder also took 2-17 and Potterne’s reply was untroubled, Jordi Rose scoring an unbeaten 66 in a nine-wicket triumph.

Joe Dufosee (76) and Sanjay Malik (63) starred in Warminster 2nd’s 244 all out against Swindon A.

Dominic O’Neil hit 103 in the reply, but Swindon fell just short as Ryan Mee took 4-24 in 5.1 overs to see Warminster home by 13 runs.

Division Three

EDDIE Read scored 122 in Heytesbury & Sutton Veny’s 193 all out against White Horse, who knocked off the runs in the reply for the loss of seven wickets, Nathan Sheffield scoring 54.

Mike Hunt (4-33), Josh Hugo (2-3) and Paul Lewis (2-40) led the attack for Seagry as they restricted Collingbourne to 156 all out, Harry Browne scoring 66.

Hugo then starred with the bat with 90, Chris Grace adding 51 as Seagry got to 160 for the loss of two wickets to claim victory.

Steve Silk hit 150 as Chippenham 2nd amassed 276-9 against their Goatacre counterparts, Pete Sykes adding 51 and Shaun Preen taking 5-38 for Goatacre.

The reply fell 18 runs short with Joe Tillyer scoring 53 and Craig Gibbens an unbeaten 40, while Ryan Merryweather took 4-52.

Division Four

GARETH Pugh’s 93 helped Spye Park (195-9) chase down Combe Down’s 193-6 for a one-wicket win.

Earlier, Andy Hulbert had made 99 for Down, George May taking 3-24 for Park.

A SCORE of 65 from Rob Atkinson, plus 46 from Steve Jones and Vital Guntaka’s 40 saw Marlborough 2nd amass 223-5 off their 45 overs against their Royal Wootton Bassett counterparts.

Bassett came up 38 runs shy of their target as Atkinson took 2-17, despite Harry Griffin scoring 61 and Tom Ponting 42.

Division Five

AFTER losing the toss against Blunsdon, Russ Collins joined Matt Hunt at the crease for Melksham and they built a partnership of 97 before Hunt fell for 68, swiftly followed by Collins for 51.

Melksham reached 222-8 and Blunsdon’s reply struggled.

The introduction of Gary Ings to the bowling attack changed the game, as he took six wickets to finish with 6-26 from his nine overs, Charlie Waylen also claiming a couple of victims.

Biddestone 3rd’s 199 all out against Buscot Park saw Kieran Gash score 33 as Will Thompson (3-22) and Charlie Morgan (3-24) shone with the ball.

However, Ben Pope’s 5-4 saw Park dismissed for just 64 in under 30 overs in the reply, securing a 135-run triumph for Biddestone.

Trowbridge 2nd were indebted to some late heroics from number 10 batsman Jake Paxton (49 not out) and Harry Robbins (33) to get to their 214 all out against Royal Wootton Bassett 3rd.

Robbins (3-20) then helped to stop Bassett at 151, Ritesh Pal taking 3-34 in a 63-run success.

Division Six

Devizes 2nd sent Burbage & Easton Royal 3rd into bat, taking six wickets before Burbage reached 100 as Steve Plannikumparambil took 4-32.

The innings ended on 161-9 before Jacob Stoner amassed 82 with ease for Devizes, brother Thomas finishing the job with 41 not out as Devizes took just 21 overs to win by six wickets.

Scott Sandford (3-6) and 13 year old debutant Leo Harris (1-4) ensured Winsley 2nd dismissed their Heytesbury & Sutton Veny counterparts for 87 in 30 overs, Winsley knocking off the target for the loss of one wicket.

Division Seven

HIGHWORTH’S Sam Watts took 6-8 and Mason Thompson 3-21 as Malmesbury 2nd were dismissed for just 50 in 19 overs.

Mark Wilson hit an unbeaten 43 as Highworth reached their target for a nine-wicket win.

Westbury 2nd were restricted to 170 all out against Beehive Southwick, for whom James Hall took 4-24.

However Michael Tuck took 3-24 as Beehive failed to get to their target, falling eight runs short on 162-9 Half-centuries from Simon Wall (57) and Flynn Day (54) helped Corsham 4th to 251-9 against Warminster 3rd, Matt Greatley taking 3-45.

Despite Jasper Pike’s 64, Warminster ended on 222, Andy Day taking 3-43.

Division Eight

Sohan Premchandani hit 57 to help Trowbridge 3rd to reach 156 all out against Chippenham 4th.

A 32-run victory was secured when Chippenham subsided to 124 all out, Hayden Lloyd taking 3-19 in 5.4 overs.

Matthew Bake took 3-5 in 3.1 overs as Calne 2nd dismissed their Wanborough counterparts for just 74 inside 35 overs.

Jake Forster’s 55 not out helped Calne to their target in the 13th over without loss and a 10-wicket triumph HARI Yuvaraj smashed 116 and Jamey Nair 99 in Swindon NALGO’s 305-6 against Box 2nd, Box collapsing to 48 all out in reply, Raghu Chakrabani taking 3-20 and Balakrishna Mureedu 3-8.

Division Nine

DEVIZES 3rd’s 14 year old Dominic Shearn batted confidently for 61 of his side’s 139 all out at Marlborough 3rd, but Ed Puddick’s unbeaten 60 sent Marlborough towards a four-wicket victory.

Andy Sandell scored 106 of Goatacre 4th’s 184 all out against Westbury 3rd, Adam Osborne taking 4-33 and Jake Andrews 3-34.

However Westbury got home for the loss of five wickets, Jason Steele scoring an unbeaten 69.
