Malmesbury were six-wicket victors over Swindon 2nd in Division One, as Jack Ward’s 3-25 helped dismiss Swindon for 186.

Oliver McGinn hit 94 in the reply, with the victory secured in 40 overs.

Nationwide House picked up their second win of the summer as Aaron Stevens hit 60 of their 217 all out against Lacock.

Mark Wiltshire took 4-17 and then hit 46 in Lacock’s reply, which ended at 154 in 40 overs.

Box went second after a two-wicket victory over Avebury on Saturday.

Rob Gater’s 82 and an unbeaten 52 from Jeremy Richards got Avebury to 229-8 off their 45 overs, but Box got home with eight balls to spare.

Dave Crawford hit an unbeaten 86, Steve Hall, 50, and Richard Foley, 42, for the loss of eight wickets.

Winsley were unable to stop Bear Flat’s unbeaten start to the campaign as they were edged out by six runs.

Simon Orchard took 3-63 in Flat’s 205-9, Mike Sherring scoring 72, Thomas Wheatley scoring 58 and Nick Gerrish 40 as Winsley fell just short on 199.

Division Two BIDDESTONE 2nd remained unbeaten after their 32-run success over Hinton Charterhouse.

Liam Boulton (38) and Joshua Boulton (36 not out) contributed to Biddestone’s 193-8 and Hinton were dismissed for 161 in 41.2 overs, Liam Boulton taking 3-17 and Alex Evans 3-42.

Leaders Potterne 2nd suffered a first defeat of the campaign as they were turned over by their Warminster counterparts.

Tom Pitman’s 66 helped Warminster to 249-9 but Tristan Lundqvist’s spell with the ball, taking 5-36 from 8.5 overs did the damage, Potterne finishing on 151 all out despite 65 from Jack Hurley.

Division Three WHITE Horse clinched a thrilling four-wicket win with just three balls remaining against Swindon United Churches at Broad Hinton to stay at the summit.

The bowling of Tom Lentschner (3-21) and Ian Sharpe restricted Churches, who had been asked to bat, early on before Chris Gilchrist (83 from 76 balls) and Daniel Hunt (17) led a recovery with a 62-run partnership.

Martin Garstang (35) and Gilchrist added a stand of 56 and Churches finished with a flourish on 205 all out despite Nathan Sheffield taking 3-51.

Chris Ladd led the reply with 65, Sheffield adding 32 as Churches were made to pay for dropped catches, despite Chris Spackman’s (3-30).

Chippenham 2nd maintained their unbeaten record with a nine-wicket success over Heytesbury & Sutton Veny, who were dismissed for 147, despite 42 from Ernie Read and 40 from Graham Kitley.

Mo Khan took 3-13 for Chippenham, who then saw Steve Silk smash 97 as they got home in the 36th over for the loss of one wicket.

Josh Hugo’s 96 and 51 from Chris Grace set up Seagry’s winning 225-6 against Goatacre 2nd, Paul Lewis (4-19) and Allan Norman (4-34) doing the damage with the ball as Goatacre were dismissed for 95.

Mark McMeeking excelled with bat and ball in Wroughton Wranglers’ 191-run triumph over Collingbourne.

McMeeking hit an unbeaten 127 of his side’s 224-6, then took 4-25 as Collingbourne were dismissed for just 33, Mohammed Farooq taking 5-6 from just seven overs.

Division Four COMBE Down got back to winning ways with a hard-fought victory over Ramsbury, who were out for just 122.

Visiting skipper Freddie Walker took 3-14 in the Down reply, but Simon Elliman’s 36 helped them to a two-wicket win.

Royal Wootton Bassett 2nd only reached 99-7 against their Nationwide House counterparts, who got home for the loss of seven wickets, Mark Flay scoring an unbeaten 40. Mark Lazenby took 4-7 in nine overs for Bassett.

Division Five STRONG batting helped Melksham to a 79-run victory over Biddestone 3rd, Tom Wallis (80) and Joe Veacock (44) starring in their 217-6.

Fine bowling, in particular from Andy Footner, who conceded just eight runs from his nine overs, kept Biddestone’s reply in check, Wallis taking four wickets and Ross Collins mopping up the tail with 3-6 as the innings ended on 138.

Ferdie van der Merwe scored 82 and Toby Iles an unbeaten 55 of Goatacre 3rd’s 278-6 against Buscot Park, who reached only 176-6 in reply to lose by 102 runs.

Division Six DEVIZES 2nd continued their winning streak against Heytesbury & Sutton Veny 2nd, Gary Rogers (63) and Thomas Stoner (64) helping them to 210-9 as Heytesbury’s Ewan McClundie took 3-15.

John Dunford took 3-16 and Joe Hutchinson 3-25 to secure a 79-run success, with Heytesbury out for 98.

Marshfield 2nd also remained unbeaten after amassing a huge 326-5 against Potterne 4th, Kevin Hendy scoring 80, Glenn Perry, 61, Matt Watson, 59, Hamish Walker, 42, and Daniel Watson, 40.

Potterne’s reply ended at 129, Charlie Chivers taking 3-21.

Division Seven UNBEATEN Westbury 2nd are top after a 29-run win over Great Bedwyn 2nd.

Dan Gill (65 not out) and Kane Scott (57) set up Westbury’s 219-7 and Bedwyn fell short of a reduced target of 175 as Clark Evans took 3-19 and Mike Tuck 3-38.

Highworth’s unbeaten start was ended by a two-wicket defeat to Hinton Charterhouse 2nd.

Ryan Allen (62) and Given Blundell (40 not out) got Highworth to 191-6, but despite Allen’s 3-18, Hinton got home in the 42nd over.

Paul Gilbert scored 64 and then took 4-24 as Warminster 3rd (177 all out) dismissed Lacock (79 all out), who were chasing a reduced 154 off 39 overs.

Division Eight CHARLEY Doel’s 55 helped unbeaten Calne 2nd to 202 all out against Marshfield 3rd, who ended at 139-9 in reply, Keith Pullin scoring 50 and Samuel Iles taking 4-28 for Calne.

Trowbridge 3rd also stayed unbeaten after an 89-run success over Avebury 2nd, Swamy Gare (54) and Srikanth Raya (44) teeing up their 230-8, as Graham Mattocks took 3-53 and Adam Duncan 3-48.

Tony Reeves hit 56 in the Avebury reply, but Agre (3-23) helped dismiss them for 141 in the 37th over.

Division Nine FOURTEEN-year-old Dominic Shearn hit 103 as Devizes 3rd racked up 217 all out against Biddestone 4th, for whom Dan Pritchett took 3-15.

Ryan Berry’s 97 not out boosted Biddestone, but 3-44 from Adam Pithouse earned Devizes a nine-run win.
