WILTSHIRE wrapped up a dominant 218-run victory over Dorset in the Unicorns Championship Western Division at Corsham this afternoon.

The home side, already in a commanding position after the opening two days, polished off the visitors' second innings in the afternoon session, Dorset's last eight wickets falling for 62 runs.

Needing just under 400 to clinch an unlikely victory, Dorset resumed on 19-1 but soon lost skipper Chris Park cheaply.

Opener Samuel Collins (36) and Luke Webb (69) then added 98 for the third wicket to frustrate the home side before Webb was caught by Jake Goodwin off the bowling of hosts' skipper Ed Young.

That precipitated a collapse in the visiting batting line-up as the next six wickets fell for 29 runs.

Jake Lintott led the Wiltshire charge, taking 6-50 in 20 overs to demolish the Dorset middle order.

Mark Wolstenholme (13 not out) and number 11 Dominic Clutterbuck (29) delivered some late hitting, but when Goodwin had Clutterbuck caught behind by wicketkeeper Patrick Greishaber, Wiltshire's victory and 24-point haul was confirmed.

Wiltshire travel to face Berkshire for their next championship match at Falkland CC from July 2.
