MATT Unwin’s 61 and a half-century from Tom Abbot guided Corsham 2nd to the top of Division One with an eight-wicket win over Nationwide House on Saturday.

The duo took their side to 134-2 in reply to House’s 133 all out in which Himanshu Suri scored 77, but Will Collier took 3-6 in nine overs.

Winsley moved second following their 147-run triumph over Box, Adam Stansfield hitting an unbeaten 68 and James O’Connell 60 in their 223-9.

O’Connell then took 3-3 in 15 balls, while Kegan Smart took 4-21 to dismiss Box for just 76.

Swindon 2nd are fourth after a nine-wicket beating of Lacock as Christy Miller’s unbeaten 128 and 92 from John Baden guided them to a winning 233-1.

Earlier Mark Wiltshire had hit 55 and Adam Mitchell 50 in Lacock’s 232-9.

Avebury picked up their second win of the season as Malmesbury were beaten by 47 runs.

Wes Hartslief’s 108 helped Avebury to 230-9, despite 4-30 from Malmesbury’s Antony Brown. Joel Solts scored 50 in the reply, but Rohit Lodhi’s 4-53 helped stop them at 183.

Division Two

THIRTEEN year old Sean Montgomery took 4-8 in nine overs to help set up Potterne 2nd’s 10-wicket victory over Swindon A, who were dismissed for just 112.

Josh Hodder’s unbeaten 69 then took Potterne to their target without loss.

That result took them top as Biddestone 2nd’s unbeaten run was ended by a nine-run loss to Swindon Nalgo.

Mudasser Rafique scored 66 as Nalgo scored 248-9, Aled Evans taking 3-51 and Kieran Gash 3-56.

But Biddestone fell short on 239 as Pardeep Nagi took 3-29 and Sarfraz Khan 3-41, with Evans scoring 65 in a losing cause.

Division Three

SWINDON United Churches continued their winning run with a comfortable 86-run victory over Collingbourne.

Winning the toss, Churches amassed 262-7 in their 45 overs, opener Jimmy Mann hitting 84 off 68 balls, Matthew Shadwick adding 41 in an opening stand of 127 as Owen Sheppard took 3-46.

Despite early resistance, wickets fell regularly in the reply, with Chris Gilchrist taking 4-29 as Collingbourne were all out for 176.

Chippenham 2nd stayed top with a seven-wicket success over White Horse, for whom John Candy hit 55 of 166 while Matt Cole took 3-27.

An unbeaten 55 from Pete Ross and 53 from Steve Silk took Chippenham to their target for the loss of three wickets.

Division Five

Trowbridge 2nd slipped to second as they were soundly beaten by eight wickets by their Purton counterparts.

Neil Little’s 3-17 helped Purton dismiss their rivals for 168, Ali Goddard scoring 54 and Matthew Dicker 48 not out.

David Allen’s unbeaten 75 took Purton to their target in 34 overs.

Division Six

JACOB Stoner smashed 198 and Jim Dunford 80 as Devizes 2nd racked up a club-record 409-4 against Potterne 4th, whose reply reached just 119 as Jack Lowe took 6-30 and George Dunford 3-42.

Division Seven

AARON Dickinson hit an unbeaten 163 to propel leaders Westbury 2nd (276-4) towards a 137-run victory against Malmesbury 2nd (139-7).

Division Eight

TROWBRIDGE 3rd got the better of Swindon Nalgo 2nd to stay at the the head of affairs, Robert Fernandes scoring 74 of their 171 all out, Jamey Nair taking 3-38.

Despite Sandeep Biwalkar’s 51 for Nalgo, three wickets each from Sahil Basandrai (3-30) and Pravin Sawant (3-36) saw them fall three runs short on 168-9.

Box 2nd were five-wicket victors over their Wanborough counterparts, Chris Bultitude 54 and Neil Pettit (57) guiding them past their opponents’ 142 all out.

Division Nine

MARLBOROUGH 3rd took over at the summit by defeating previous leaders Goatacre 4th by 28 runs.

Nick Crabbe hit 90 not out in his side’s 203-7, Thomas Andrews taking 3-26 before Fraser Taylor took 4-21 to stop Goatacre at 175 all out, Andrew Lewis scoring 64 for the beaten side.
