SHRIVENHAM claimed a second successive win at the start of the Oxfordshire Cricket Association Division Four season with a 72-run victory away at Fringford.
The visitors won the toss and elected to bat, with Fringford’s opening bowlers keeping things tight and making scoring tricky.
Shrivenham got off to a steady start and were 60-1 from 20 overs, but wickets soon began to tumbled and they were all out for 95.
Once Shrivenham took the field, the game looked like it would be over quick as Fringford scored nine runs off the first over.
However, brilliant bowing saw the hosts lose five quick wickets to slump to 10-5.
Shrivenham continued to be aggressive and the efforts of debutant Hussain Kanchwala (5-3) and Naveed Akram (4-17) saw Fringford dismissed for 23 from 10 overs.
