DESPITE a huge dip in form recently, Asians look set to be crowned champions of Division One of the Indoor Cricket League.
Asians will take the title if they defeat Wanborough. The championship hopefuls suffered a surprising reverse against Nalgo by nine runs when they failed to chase down 83.
Wootton Bassett cut the deficit when they hammered Wanborough by 54 runs with Sam Lawro making 37 not out.
Wanborough then bounced back with a two-wicket win over already-relegated Nationwide, thanks chiefly to Tom Clinning's 34 not out.
Division Two winners Swindon confirmed their overwhelming superiority as they beat closest rivals Swindon 2nds by two wickets, with Jon Sore's 32 not out proving decisive.
Tim Thurston made the season's highest individual score as he amassed 77 not out for Faringdon out of 101-4.
But he still finished on the losing side as Wootton Bassett 2nds squeezed home by two wickets, with Ravi Samant scoring 45 not out.
Highworth have run away with Division Three and should be joined by Shrivenham 2nds in Division Two next season, whilst either Minety or Woodlands will join already-relegated Ramsbury in Division Four.
Ramsbury recorded their first success when they defeated Cirencester by two wickets.
