Nationwide House will go into next week’s clash with Marlborough knowing a win should be enough to hand them fourth place in the WEPL Wiltshire Division.
That would be a record high for the men from Pipers Way, who have produced a brilliant second half to the season after a slovenly opening.
Their comprehensive win over Great Bedwyn proved just how much they have improved, with Steve and Andy Lewis once again providing the incision with the ball after a moderate target was set by the batsmen.
Jon Clarke, Kev Flay, David Coates and Mark Sheppard all got starts without going on in the Nationwide innings, but 183 proved far too much for the hosts to pursue.
Steve Lewis bowled John Palmer and Chris Blundy to reduce Bedwyn to 18-2, and when Rob Palmer was well stumped by Luke Bradley-Leach off the bowling off Chris Trewhella, House knew they were in with a good shout.
And the Lewis brothers, alongside Trewhella and Joe Perkins, stifled the middle order to give the home side too much to do.
George Stone made a flamboyant 30 for Bedwyn from number eight, but it was too little too late.
Now Nationwide can set their sights on a little piece of club history in the final game of the 2011 term next weekend.
