GARETH Walton bagged a hat-trick as Swiss Chalet Rangers kept hold of second place in the Premier Division with a 7-1 away victory over Highworth.

Rangers were 4-1 up at half-time in a game they dominated, and two goals from Darryl Henning and one each for Carl Wyatt and Neil Herring saw them move to within three points of leaders Fratellos.

The table-toppers themselves also tasted success, as a first-half screamer from Ajay Sahota secured a 1-0 victory from an even game against Spectrum.

Queensfield hit Lower Stratton for six as brothers Adam and Michael Jack scored braces and Ryan Fry and Roger Munday registered to secure victory, before Stratton grabbed a late consolation goal.

Auto Engine Tune saw a three-goal lead given to them by two from Steve Winchcombe and Ben Roberts turned round, as Village Inn stormed back in the second half to earn a point.

Both sides missed a series of chances as AFC Globe and DJC Marlborough shared four goals in a 2-2 draw. Domenica Mazzotta gave the home side the lead before they were pegged back, and they eventually slipped behind before Josh Connolly levelled late on with a diving header.

The game of the day in Division One saw Fox & Hounds beat Ramsbury 5-4 after coming back from two goals down.

The home side took the lead after 25 minutes and doubled their advantage five minutes later, but Richard Ellis grabbed one back just before half-time. Darryl Kemble levelled things up just after half-time before Ramsbury stretched their lead to 4-2, but a goal from Adam Harman and another from Kemble levelled matters again before Kevin Dettmar netted a late winner.

Chris Woods grabbed a hat-trick as leaders Old Town beat Larry’s Plaice 5-0 to keep hold of top spot, and Stuart Cody also scored three as Chiseldon overcame Bassett Bulldogs 4-3.

Their goalscoring efforts were beaten by Dave Toomey of Tap & Barrel, who scored all five goals in his team’s big win over Ferndale WMC.

In the only other game of the week, Sportz Central beat Swindon Spitfires 4-2. Both teams started well as Sportz took an early lead through Alonso Cardoza, before Pete Byrne scored his first goal of the afternoon to make it 1-1. Alisto Pires restored the Sportz lead before Byrne struck again, but two goals from Aaron Cardoza finished matters.
