WOOTTON Bassett Town Yellow maintained their 100 per cent league record in North Wilts Youth League Under 13 Division 2 (11v11) with a 9-0 victory over Highworth Town H.

Tom Miller netted a hat-trick for Bassett, who made the most of their chance to play on an afternoon where much of the North Wilts programme was wiped out by the poor recent weather.

Debutant Joe Fenton scored a brace for the hosts, while there were also goals for Jamie Byrom, Lewis Cholod, Charlie Emmerson and Declan Cox.

As well as being the fifth win out of five for Bassett this season, the victory included the team’s fourth successive clean sheet.
