WOOTTON Bassett Town Yellow maintained their 100 per cent league record in North Wilts Youth League Under 13 Division 2 (11v11) with a 9-0 victory over Highworth Town H.

Tom Miller netted a hat-trick for Bassett, who made the most of their chance to play on an afternoon where much of the North Wilts programme was wiped out by the poor recent weather.

Debutant Joe Fenton scored a brace for the hosts, while there were also goals for Jamie Byrom, Lewis Cholod, Charlie Emmerson and Declan Cox.

As well as being the fifth win out of five for Bassett this season, the victory included the team’s fourth successive clean sheet.

UNDER 10 DIVISION 1

JAMIE White and Josh Sawford both netted doubles as Greenmeadow Youth saw off Forest Green Rovers 5-0.

White’s two goals both came from range while Thomas Lane also scored for Greenmeadow.

Croft Juniors Red came from behind to beat Wootton Bassett Blue 3-1 away from home.

Having conceded in the first half, Tyger-J Hall levelled for Croft before the break and then added two more goals in the second period to complete his treble.

UNDER 10 DIVISION 3

LEWIS Paolette scored his second hat-trick of the season as Stratton Juniors Black saw off Cricklade Youth 6-0.

Jack Walklett hit two for Stratton, who also had Jordan Heaton on the scoresheet.

Stratton Juniors Orange beat Stratton Youth 2-1 after coming from behind to claim the win.

After going a goal down in the first half Lewis Aitken equalised for the hosts just before the break. After the interval Ewan Burrows volleyed home Peter Amoni’s cross to secure all three points for the home side.

UNDER 11 DIVISION 4

NORTHERN Lights survived a late Stratton Juniors B rally to claim a 3-2 victory in the two sides’ weekend meeting.

Imran Hanif opened the scoring midway through the first half for Northern Lights, while Connor Robb netted the second after the break and Hanif slotted home his second to seemingly put the hosts out of sight.

However, Stratton weren’t about to roll over and managed two quick goals to bring about a dramatic finale, but Lights held on.

UNDER 12 DIVISION 1

HARRY Salter got Ferndale Rodbourne’s only goal in their 5-1 defeat to Wootton Bassett Town Blue.

Swindon Rangers A stormed into a four-goal half-time lead against Swindon Rangers and went on to win 6-0.

Rangers A took the lead through Dan Hopper before Shaun Wilkinson doubled the hosts’ advantage. Joe Tyson then hit a quickfire double to put Rangers A in complete control at the interval, while Lou Brown and Finley Merchant rounded of the victory with goals in the second period.

UNDER 15 DIVISION 1

AN EVEN game between Croft Juniors and Swindon Supermarine saw both teams earn a point, after the match finished 1-1.

Croft took the lead midway through the first half but Alex Cook equalised for Supermarine halfway through the second.

UNDER 15 DIVISION 2

TAYLER Smague, Shaun Jones and Tyler Cobb all netted braces as Eldene Rangers ran out 9-2 winners against Avebury.

Matt Frost grabbed his first goal for Eldene and there were also strikes from Harvey Ritchie and Jack Goodenough for the home side.

UNDER 11 WILTS COUNTY CUP

FERNDALE Rodbourne Pumas secured safe passage to the next round of the competition courtesy of a 7-1 win over AFC Corsham.

Corey Adams (2), Brandon Lewis, Ben Dodd, Jack Lane, Jamie Harrison and Kain Chivers were the goalscorers for Ferndale.

Highworth progressed with a 4-1 win against Shaw FC. Ethan Parker, Harvey Flippance, Dylan Boulton and Jack Payne all found the net for Highworth.
