SOUTHERN LEAGUE: Marine get sponsorship boost
6:00am Thursday 13th December 2012 in Football
CASH Converters have become the latest local business to throw their support behind Swindon Supermarine.
The retailer’s sponsorship will allow the club to continue and improve their sports services to the local community.
Marine chairman Jez Webb said: “We get such motivation from the support of local businesses and it makes all the difference to help us provide football activities for the community.
“Cash Converters is a fantastic brand to have associated with the club and their sponsorship board in our ground looks great.”
- Marine’s Southern League Division One South & West clash against Sholing was postponed last night.
A frozen pitch caused the tie to be called off just an hour ahead of the scheduled kick-off time.
Sholing’s official Twitter feed stated: “Game against @SupermarineFC has just been called off due to ref decision. One touchline frozen risk to linesman.”
Supermarine will now look ahead to their league clash with Bishops Cleeve this weekend.
