SIMON Henry inspired a win for his club NALGO & CS over the league leaders Gas Club in the Swindon and District Air Rifle League.

In his first match of the season Henry scored a possible (maximum 60 points) as NALGO prevailed by just five points, winning 546-541.

Elsewhere VWH Cricklade moved level on points with Gas Club by securing their tenth win in a 581-527 victory at Woodshaw. Rodbourne Cheney beat Brown Jack, and now sit more comfortably in third place with a four point cushion over three other teams.

The other possible scorers this week were Chris Elliott and Derek Rackley who now share the leading average having both overtaken VWH Cricklade teammate Robert Ellis this week.
