HIGHWORTH Town manager John Fisher believes his side are facing the most technical-gifted side in the Hellenic League tomorrow.

The Elms side make the journey to Highmoor Ibis looking to bounce back from their 2-0 defeat at Bracknell Town.

However, while in awe of Highmoor’s footballing ability, Fisher believes that the Reading-based side have a darker side to their game.

“Without a shadow of a doubt they are the most technically gifted side in the league,” Fisher said. “But that is when they want to play football.

“If the other side of them show up it will be another volatile game, like it was at our place.

“They can be the worst side in the league, sometimes they just want to fight - and it is not just me saying that, other clubs have found that too.”

The Worthians chief has a full squad to chose for the trip and Fisher is pleased that the players have taken on board what he had to say three weeks ago.

“After I had my little moan to the players about their commitment, they have taken it on board and done their utmost to make sure that they are available,” Fisher said.

“I would like to think it is down to what I had to say to them, but I do think with us having a cup semi-final coming up, whenever that will be, is another factor.

“We have everyone available so there can be no excuses on our part come Saturday.”

Shrivenham manager Sam Collier is planning to speak to Fisher ahead of his side’s trip to Bracknell.

The Highworth chief said that they were beaten by the best goal he has ever seen in non-league football when Sam Barratt scored from the halfway line.

And Collier is sure to want to stop the player from repeating that trick tomorrow as the Barrington Park men look to bounce back from their 4-3 defeat to Abingdon United.

“We’ll have to keep an eye on him (Barratt),“ Collier said. “I’ll be speaking to Fish for the inside track on them.

“But we need to focus on getting our defending right again after gifting Abingdon four goals.

“That was the first time since I have been in charge that we have been sloppy at the back.

“We looked a threat going forward which is good, so we need to find that balance.”

Collier will have to watch from the sidelines tomorrow as he serves a one-match ban following his sending off against Ascot United, while Dave Coleman (food poisoning) and Ryan Wilkinson (hamstring) are doubtful to make the trip.

Wootton Bassett Town make the trip to Thame United as they play the first of three games in five days.

Following tomorrow’s journey, Bassett travel to Cheltenham Saracens on Monday before entertaining Bracknell on Wednesday.
