A HAT-TRICK from manager Tom Kopinski helped SKS Blyskawica to a comfortable win in their return to the Swindon Sunday League Division One as they beat Inter Sandgate 6-1.

After three years in Division Two Blyskawica relished their return to the top league and after a goal-less first half they comfortably disposed of their hosts.

The deadlock was broken 10 minutes into the second half after a trip in the box resulted in a penalty that was converted by Miec Wojewodka.

The visitors continued to press and doubled their lead when Chris Mills got his head on a cross and guided the ball into the net.

A second from Wojewodka and two from Kopinski gave the league’s new boys a 5-0 lead, before Inter Sandgate were able to score a consolation goal from a corner.

Kopinski completed his hat-trick when he latched onto a defensive error to round off the scoring. Victory secured the Blyskwica boss is now hoping to see his side continue their good form.

“It’s a good start and we appear to have carried on from where we left off last season which is good to see,” he said.

“We spent three seasons in the second division so it is nice to be back in the top league and it is quite nice to start with such a good result.

“I felt we dominated the first half and I was always confident we would get the first goal and go on and win the game.

“It is always nice to score a hat-trick and I will be asking more of the same from the players and we’ll see where we end up but I am hoping for a top four finish.”
