WOMEN'S FOOTBALL: Fine nine as Marlow are defeated
SWINDON Spitfires under 15s chalked up a 9-3 win against Marlow in the Berkshire Girls League Cup, despite falling behind inside five minutes. Goals from Helena Butcher (three), Natalie Goodright (two), Ellie Scott, Ellie Lankester, Lauren Clark and Katie Donnovan secured a comfortable passage into the next round.
Spitfires Development were soundly beaten 10-0 in the Wiltshire County Cup at FC Chippenham. The U12s secured a 6-1 win at Ashton Keynes, and the U13s secured a point with a 0-0 draw at second placed Wantage.
Highworth Town’s U12s lost out 6-0 at Derry Hill Phoenix.
