AFTER negotiating their way past Larkhall yesterday Swindon Town Ladies have been rewarded with a home-tie against Carshalton Athletic.

Robyn Levitt was the hero on Sunday as her penalty sent the away side through after the two sides could not be separated after 120 minutes.

The women will now face Carshalton at Cinder Lane in the second round proper on Sunday, January 11.

In the second cup draw of the day the Ladies side have also been drawn at home against Preston North End in the FA Premier League Plate Quarter Final.

That tie will be played on Sunday, February 1, and Preston manager, Luke Podmore, is expecting a tough game.

""I don’t know much about Swindon but, once again, we’ll go there with our strongest squad in search of a win," he said.

"However, I do know they’re top of the South West Division One so it will be a tough test for us. It will definitely be a good game.

"We can’t go there thinking it will be easy. We will have to put in one of our best performances of the season to progress."
