Rodbourne Real manager James Wilcox believes that the Division Three title is well within their grasp this term.

Their 2-0 success at Tap and Barrel on Sunday saw them leapfrog their hosts and move within two points of leaders Cleeve Tech.

Wilcox knows that his side cannot afford any slips between now and the rest of the season he has faith in his side’s capabilities.

“It was all hands to the pump and it was a great win - probably the best that we have played all season,” he said.

“Cleeve Tech have still got to play Tap, so hopefully they will do us a favour, but first or second is well within our grasp.”

Tap saw a penalty saved by Warren Jackson in the first half, while an own goal and a John Reeves strike sealed the points for Rodbourne.

“We changed our tactics at the weekend,” Wilcox said.

“We knew that they had a bit of pace so we played five in the middle and one up top and looked to hit them on the break.”

In Division Two, West Swindon Wanderers picked up their third win of the campaign with a 2-1 success over CH2M Hill, while in Division Four DH Fitness defeated PSG Amateurs 1-0 and in the only other league game to survive the elements Marlborough Town Casuals and Greendown played out a 2-2 draw in Division Five.
