PURTON are on the lookout for a new management team to take charge of their soon-to-be-reformed reserve side.

The Red House club plan to reinstate their second string in either the Hellenic League Division Two West or Wiltshire League Premier Division for the 2015-2016 season.

Purton Reserves last plied their trade in the Wiltshire League last term before folding in November 2013 and anyone interested in helping run the new team should contact first team manager Justin Miller on 07881 020002.

Meanwhile Miller says the club are planning to install new hard seating areas at their ground to comply with FA rules.

Clubs in Hellenic League Division One West will soon be required to meet the FA’s ‘G’ ground grading standards and Purton are looking to make the necessary improvements to continue on in their current division.

“We’ll be fine to play in the league next season and we need to build a spectator area, which holds 100 people, 50 seated, and we’re planning to do that,” said Miller.

“The long-term plan is to build floodlights and there are a lot of discussions going on with the parish council about that but we’re planning to try and do what we can because the rules apply to all step six clubs.

“If we do that, it means that we can apply for FA competitions like the FA Vase, which would be great.”
