SWINDON Supermarine J and FC Calne battled out a 2-2 draw in their Under 11 Division One clash in blustery conditions at South Marston.

Marine’s Luke Legg wasted a good chance but he was soon to make amends when he supplied the cross which led to Joshua Godwin half-volleying the ball home from inside the six-yard area.

Calne gained parity straight from the restart when a hopeful punt upfield bounced over the onrushing Marine keeper Aaron Hume with the help of the strong wind.

Calne nudged in front when they scored from a good header from a corner with no more than a couple of minutes to go but more drama was to unfold.

Marine were awarded a penalty after a handball incident and man of the match Joah Hall stepped up to place a powerful shot into the corner.
