SWINDON Town Ladies are moving bases for their home games next season.

The ladies will play out of Shrivenham’s Barrrington Park ground after moving across from fellow Hellenic League side Fairford Town.

Town are around a week away from starting their preparations for next season, with pre-season training due to get under way on Tuesday, June 23.

The session will run from 6.30-8pm at the Gas Club, Gipsy Lane, Swindon and anyone interested in attending can contact stfcladies@hotmail.com for more information.

The club’s signing-on evening take place at Shrivenham FC on Saturday, June 27.

  • PURTON will take on neighbours Wootton Bassett Town in the first of their scheduled pre-season friendlies on Saturday, July 11 (3pm).

Justin Miller’s side begin pre-season training on Tuesday, June 30 (6.45pm meet for a 7-9pm session), with training continuing at the same time every Tuesday and Thursday.

The Red House outfit will also host last season’s FA Vase semi-finalists Highworth Town on Saturday, July 18 (3pm) before Wiltshire League side Wroughton visit on Tuesday, July 28 (6.30pm).

Purton will also take on Wantage Town at home on Saturday, August 1 at 3pm.

Bassett meanwhile have yet to announce their pre-season fixture programme, but their pre-season preparations for all senior teams will get under way on Tuesday, June 23 at Ballards Ash.

Players are asked to arrive at 6.50pm for 7-9pm sessions every Tuesday and Thursday.

Shrivenham’s pre-season training begins on the same evening, while Fairford Town are getting under way slightly earlier, this Thursday (June 18) on the training ground at the club.
