SWINDON Supermarine pulled off an important win in the Evo-stick Southern League Division One South & West after beating 10-man North Leigh 2-0.

Leigh travelled to the Webb's Wood Stadium with a 100 per cent record from their opening seven games, having netted 18 times.

The hosts did well to hold the league-leaders for the first half an hour.

However, the breakthrough came on 32 minutes when Keiran Sanders opened the scoring for the visitors.

His effort from a tight angle went through the legs of Matt Bulman to put them in front.

But the hero became the villain moments later when he saw red for a foul on Chris Taylor.

With the man advantage, Dave Webb's side were able to capitalise and Bradley Gray's volley with a minute remaining had them back level at half-time.

Marine took the lead in the 59th minute when Luke Hopper nodded home Edenborough's cross from close range.
