SWINDON Supermarine suffered their second home league defeat of the season tonight as Slimbridge clinched a 2-1 success at the Webbs Wood Stadium.

Dave Webb's men, pushing for the top of the table, were undone as Paul Fahy struck twice for the Gloucestershire side.

Marine were behind 10 minutes in as Marcus Schuster and Oli Bailey both failed to deal with a ball and Fahy's shot found the top corner.

However the home side were level within seconds as Ash Taylor's pass found Luke Hopper and he laid off for Ash Edenborough to find the net from close range.

Taylor headed wide from close in midway through the first half before Josh Morse was also off target.

In the second half Marine fell behind again when Fahy netted at the far post.

Edenborough went close late on but the visitors hung on for their win.

In the Hellenic League Premier Division, Highworth Town fought back from 2-0 down to earn a point against Lydney Town.

John Fisher's men conceded twice in the first half, but Brad Clark pulled a goal back from the penalty spot and Nathan Blackford fired home the equaliser.

Royal Wootton Bassett Town also drew 2-2, twice coming back from behind at Tuffley Rovers.

Sam Packer fired home an equaliser after Brett James had given Tuffley the lead and the hosts went ahead again before Steve Olphert fired home a penalty to rescue a point.
