SWINDON Town Ladies are targeting another standout triumph over title rivals Larkhall Athletic as they bid to reach the first round proper of the Women’s FA Cup tomorrow.

Steve Robertson’s side, who are third in the FA Women’s Premier League Division One South West, make the trip to Bath on Sunday to take on the table-topping Larks in the second qualifying round (kick-off 1pm).

Town are only a point behind Larkhall in the league but have played a game more than their Sunday opponents, who boast a 100 per cent record after winning all six of their matches so far.

But Robertson’s side have already claimed the scalp of the Larks this term, trouncing their rivals 5-0 in the first round of the FA Women’s Premier League Cup on October 4.

“We’re back to cup action again, which is always a lift,” said the Town manager, whose team drew 1-1 with Keynsham Town last weekend.

“We will need to produce the sort of performance that we did in the second half last week to get anything from the game.

“Larkhall are not top of the league for nothing, so we can expect a hard-fought encounter.”

Swindon began their Women’s FA Cup campaign by hammering Long Lane 12-0 in the third qualifying round whilst Larkhall battered Town’s local rivals Swindon Spitfire 11-1.

Roberson’s side will be without Laura Morgan and Meg Vella for their trip to Plain Ham tomorrow but Sarah Uzzell has resumed light training.
