SHRIVENHAM were unable to move an immovable force in the form of Tytherington Rocks as they had to settle for a 0-0 draw on the road.

However, manager Michael McNally was happy with his side’s dominant performance and, while four points in the last three games is not enough to lift Shrivvy off the foot of the Hellenic League Division One West table, it is a move in the right direction.

In the first 10 minutes Levi Cox was put through and had a great opportunity to score before dragging his effort wide, before Tyler Bonner-Shea had several chances to break the deadlock in the first half but couldn’t take the chances.

In the second half the Shrivenham keeper hardly had a save to make, while at the other end John Evans was busy as Cox saw an effort cleared off the line before the Rocks’ stopper pulled off a fine save to again deny Bonner-Shea.

“I thought we were outstanding today really,” said McNally.

“There are not many games in football where you dominate from start to finish.

“Usually you play really well for 45 minutes and then back off a little bit but to be honest to the lads they dug in, in very heavy conditions, and our football was outstanding.

“We’ve had quite a few good chances, a couple cleared off the line and to be fair their goalie was very good for them.

“With the weather, it was wet, windy and horrible, it was a good performance but the most pleasing thing for me was our attitude and it is another step in the right direction for us.

“That is four points in the last three games and we are getting that confidence back.

“It is a very good point but I do think it is two points dropped.”
