SWINDON Town Ladies will once again look to end their three-month exile from league action when they play visit Shanklin on the Isle of Wight on Sunday.

The postponement of last weekend’s proposed home fixture against leaders Larkhall Athletic denied Steve Robertson’s side a first match in the FA Women’s Premier League Division One South West since November 1.

Town, who have not played since last month, have not featured in the league due to a number of postponements as well as their commitments both in theFA Cup and FA Women’s Premier League Cup.

They remain unbeaten in the league this season, with five wins from their seven games, but their lengthy hiatus has seen them fall down the table.

The two have yet to meet this season but Town were held to a goalless draw when they visited Shanklin last term.

The Islanders currently sit ninth in the league, having taken six points from 10 outings, whereas Town are sixth spot with 17 points from seven games.

Town manager Robertson said: “I hope the girls are not too rusty after a long time without a game.

“They have been training three times a week and their attitude has been spot on and I hope that we can carry that over into the game.

“Shanklin is not the easiest place to go to with ferry times, but we have got to go there sometime so at least we’ll get it out the way for this season.”

Town will be without Abby Picton and Alex Hurst for this Sunday’s game but Robertson otherwise has a full squad to select from.

TOWN SQUAD: Robyn Levett, Alice Smith, Sam Quinn, Serena Smith, Ellie Maynard, Alison Witts, Chyna Collings, Meg Vella, Michelle Rich, Beth Westlake, Sarah Uzzell, Alex Hurst, Chenise Austin, Sally Butterfield and Meg Attenborough.
