SWINDON Spitfires Under 15s roared back to form by dismissing Frome Youth 8-2 in the Wiltshire Women’s & Girls League.

The home side made a bad start after two minutes as they found themselves a goal down courtesy of an unstoppable shot from the edge of the area.

But it took Spitfires 15 minutes to break down their opponents when Tamzin Davis broke into the box and smashed the ball home.

Spitfires were on top and 10 minutes later Shannon King ran down the right wing, cut into the box and fired a shot across the goal and into the bottom corner.

On 38 minutes, Davis got her second and just before half-time, Charlie Tinson’s low drive across the face of goal was almost poked in at the far post by Fiona Whittle.

The second half started with Frome scrambling the ball over the line for their second but within 60 seconds Spitfires had restored their two-goal lead when King smashed in her second.

She completed her hat-trick shortly afterwards before Hannah Peachey got herself on the scoresheet when her drive from the edge of the area found the back of the net.

Davis completed her hat-trick from the penalty spot and Peachey added her second to complete the scoring.
