HARRY Johnson returned to form for Ferndale Rodbourne Colts in Under 15s Division 3 as his hat-trick helped them to a 5-0 win over Liden Community.

Ferndale turned in a strong display throughout but it was not all good news for Johnson as he also missed a penalty.

A header from Tom Salter and close-range finish from Keiran Dodson completed the scoring.

UNDER 15 DIVISION ONE

SWINDON Rangers proved a cut above Ferndale Rodbourne Youth as they romped to a 10-1 win.

There was little sign of the final scoreline in a keenly-contested first half, which saw Rangers take the lead with a free-kick before Brandon Page levelled for Ferndale.

Rangers got two more goals before the break and as the game wore on, their commanding lead grew.

Ferndale created chances themselves and as they pushed to reduce the deficit, Rangers proved clinical in front of goal, opening an even bigger lead before the final whistle.

Dan Argrave produced a player-of-the-match performance for Ferndale through his effort and tenacity through midfield.

UNDER 12 DIVISION ONE

SWINDON Supermarine J continued their winning streak since the turn of the new year with a hard-fought 3-1 success away against Royal Wootton Bassett Town.

The first half was a tight affair, with limited chances in the first 10 minutes. The hosts had the first sight of goal but saw a shot hit the crossbar.

The visitors’ first chance fell to Harley-Shaun Platt but his strike was well-saved by the home keeper. A goalmouth scramble ensued from the resulting corner but Bassett cleared their lines.

Marine started to step up a gear and further chances came for Max Townsend, Joah Hall and Luke Legg, the latter lobbing the keeper from a Josh Godwin throw, only to see the ball drift wide.

Bassett did have chances of their own but it was the South Marston outfit who went into half-time in front when Riley Bailey pounced on a rebound to find the roof of the net.

The home side started the second half with early pressing, which led to a handful of goalmouth scrambles.

At the other end, Marine nearly doubled their lead when Bailey just failed to connect with the ball after a cross into the six-yard box.

However, it did not take long for the visitors to get their second goal when Bailey found Legg, who rounded the keeper to slot home.

Marine stepped up another gear and put themselves 3-0 up when Mickey McCann picked up a loose ball in the area to smash home after a goalmouth scramble.

There were further chances from Zachary Evans, Hall and Townsend but it was the home side who got the final goal when they were awarded a penalty.

UNDER 13 DIVISION ONE

HIGHWORTH Town Juniors T battled all the way through their 3-0 defeat away at Liden Community White.

The Worthians hit the post and had an effort cleared off the line but their star performer was goalkeeper Josh Wright, who pulled a string of fine saves.

UNDER 16 DIVISION TWO

WANBOROUGH Juniors were edged out 3-2 in a close game at home to Pewsey Vale.

The home side went 1-0 up thanks to a goal from Luke Bolton, assisted by Jahed Ali, but Pewsey soon equalised.

Pewsey pulled clear with two more goals before Luke Bolton rocketed home a strike to give Wanborough hope, but their efforts to get a point came up short as they twice hit the post.

Adam McGill did an outstanding job in goal for Wanborough.

UNDER 17/18 DIVISION ONE

SWINDON Supermarine earned all three points with a hard-fought 2-1 home win over Fairford Town Youth.

Kyle Bowyer opened the scoring early on thanks to a Sam Long through-ball. However, Fairford managed to equalise soon afterwards to keep things level at the break.

The second half saw both sides working hard to gain the advantage and from a Jake Tyson pass, Joe Miller managed to beat the Fairford keeper to score the winner for Marine.
