MORE than 230 junior football teams descended on Highworth Town last weekend for the club’s 24th annual summer tournament.

Teams from Swansea and Neath as well as sides from Somerset and Devon joined a record-breaking 238 teams taking part, with more than 1,900 players involved over the three days at The Elms.

Highworth Town club secretary Fraser Haines said: “I would also like to thank our committee and army of volunteers who helped over the Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

“We have received some great feedback from many of the teams.”
