Hellenic League Premier Division side Royal Wotton Bassett Town ran out 4-1 winners over their Division One West local rivals Purton.

A brace from former Highworth Town striker TJ Bohane was added to by goals from Tom Cole and Steve May at Redhouse on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Fairford Town were held to a 2-2 draw by Bishops Cleeve Reserves in their second pre-season fixture.

Ben Robinson got the visitors to Cinder Lane off the mark after just five minutes when he headed home, before Lewis Petrie came close to levelling for Fairford.

Cleeve stopper Cameron Cleal then denied former Swindon Supermarine man Josh Morse before Petrie levelled three minutes before the break.

Three half-time changes saw Danny Hale, Alex Stanley and Sam Mepham replace Ian Ward, Bright and Dainton, with former Highworth defender Chris Jackson also appearing for the final half an hour Morse finished from close range to put the hosts ahead.

However, they were unable to hold on as Brett Blake levelled in the final minute of the game.
