SWINDON Supermarine go looking to build on their five-star opening day showing last weekend when they play their first game of the new season at the Webb’s Wood Stadium tonight.

Dave Webb’s side got their Southern League Division One South and West campaign off to a flyer by thrashing Didcot Town 5-1 on Saturday, with striker Connor Waldon hitting a hat-trick.

Tonight, Marine roll out the red carpet for AFC Totton (kick-off 7.45pm), who were beaten 2-1 at home by newly-promoted Hereford last weekend.

“We look forward to the next game, it was great to see my team play so well and sit on the top of the tree, we will look to build on that with a win on Tuesday and remain there,” the Marine chief said.

“We want to win but we want to play in a certain way it sets us up nicely for the next game, it will be tough, Totton are a good side they only lost narrowly to Hereford.

“It’s going to be a tough game but we have to set a good standard and try to maintain it for as long as we can.”
