SHEFFIELD United could reportedly earn up to £2million for the sale of Che Adams to Birmingham City.

The 20-year-old forward, who joined the Blades from non-league Ilkeston in November 2014, has moved to St Andrew’s for a fee understood to be £1.5million, rising to £2million with add-ons.

England U20 international Adams scored 15 goals in 55 appearances for United and Championship Birmingham had two bids turned down by the Blades before getting their hands on their man.

OLDHAM Athletic have made their 16th signing since Stephen Robinson took over as manager in July.

Robinson, who was Northern Ireland’s assistant manager at Euro 2016, has moved to bring in for former Liverpool trainee Ryan McLaughlin.

The 21-year-old right-back, who has been capped four times by Northern Ireland, joins the Latics on a free transfer.

BOLTON Wanderers’ opening-day victory over Sheffield United has come at a price, with the club confirming that captain Darren Pratley is now set to be out for eight-to-10 weeks.

The 31-year-old midfielder fractured a bone in his lower leg whilst challenging former Swindon Town striker Leon Clarke.

Bolton manager Phil Parkinson said: “Darren has fractured the fibula in his leg and he’ll be away to see a specialist.

“It’s a blow for both him and us, but it’s also a chance for someone else to step up.”
