HIGHWORTH Town manager Jeff Roberts admits his team face a stern test when they travel to Havant and Waterlooville for their FA Cup first qualifying round fixture.

Robert’s troops go into the game on good form, winning their last three games in a row scoring an impressive 10 goals in the process.

Their Isthmian League Premier Division hosts will be a tough test, who boast former professionals such as James Hayter and former Wales international Brian Stock in their ranks.

Roberts has no doubt it will be a hard game, but insists his team, who ply their trade two levels below Havant, will enjoy the occasion and make it difficult for the Hawks.

“We know it’ll be tough, we’ll concentrate on ourselves, we’re on a reasonable run at the moment and the expectation is on them," Roberts said.

“We have nothing to lose, they’re favourites but we’ll put a good shift in, we’ll bring a strong side but we are competing against a very good team.

“Hopefully we can give them a run for their money, we are telling the players to enjoy themselves and make it hard for them "They’ll be quicker and possibly fitter as well, but we have enough quality to give them a good game.

"There is no pressure on us, they need to perform and come have a go then hopefully we can catch them on the break a few times."

Roberts will be boosted by the timely return of Ross Adams, who will replace Tom Coles as he is unavailable.

Chris Taylor returns after missing the Nomads victory, while Jon Davoile, who featured for Royal Wootton Bassett earlier in the competition, is cup-tied.
