Swindon Spitfires maintained their 100 per cent start to the Wiltshire Premier League with a 3-0 victory at Marlborough.

Spitfires opened the scoring almost immediately as Natalia Wilson’s early ball allowed Carla Compton to calmly lob the stranded keeper.

Spitfires dominated the first half and should have extended their lead on several occasions, however, Marlborough kept them at bay.

It took until the 71st minute for Spitfires to double their lead when Katrina Reynolds’ 30 yard strike flew over the Marlborough keeper Ten minutes later, Charley Reynolds’ corner found Compton and she headed home her second of the match.

Swindon Spitfires U16s romped to a 14-1 win at Derry Hill.

Charlie Tinson led the way with four, while player-of-the-match Shannon King and Tamzin Davis struck hat-tricks, Emily Bowdidge bagged a brace with Freya Sullivan and Emily Povey also on target.

Kim Jackson and Leah Dollaway netted two goals apiece as Spitfires U14s edged out Ashton Keynes in an 11-goal thriller. Kayleigh Stanley and Olivia Bath with the other two for the victors.

Nalani Hunt’s goal earned the U12s a share of the spoils in their 1-1 draw with Melksham Town Black.

Gen Bayliss’ brace helped send the U15s on their way to a 5-0 win at Wantage. Aimee Prinzi, Hannah Peachey and Morgan-Ly Culley completed the scoring.
