SWINDON Supermarine made it six games unbeaten in September as new boy George Reid bagged a brace to help sink Bishops Cleeve.
Dave Webb’s men last tasted defeat on August bank holiday Monday against North Leigh, however, the Webbs Wood Stadium side have enjoyed the second month of the Southern League Division One South and West campaign.
Teenage forward Reid, who joined the club late last week from Didcot Town, struck either side of break at Kayte Lane before goals from Connor Thompson and Callum Parsons sealed a 4-1 success.
Meanwhile, Royal Wootton Bassett were left to rue a slow start in their Hellenic League Premier Division match at Lydney Town as they went down 4-3.
Rich Hunter’s men found themselves 3-0 down early on, however, goals from Dan Bailey and Lewis Thompson pulled Bassett back into the game before half-time.
But the Severnsiders struck again early in the second half before Dale Richards’ goal 20 minutes from time gave them hope again, but Lydney held out until the end.
