SWINDON Town ladies manager Steve Robertson is hoping that the week of will have done his side the world of good ahead of their trip to Portsmouth tomorrow.

The Barrington Park side have only won two of their ten FA Women’s Premier League Southern Division matches this since term.

However, the chief believes that his side will have good chance of claiming win number three at the Aerial Direct Stadium - the home of National South side Gosport Borough.

“It has been nice to have a bit of break,” Robertson said. “It has been go, go, go since the start of the season.

“It is also quite nice coming back with a game against Portsmouth as I believe that they are around the same level as us and it is a game we can get something out of.”

Robertson, who will be without Abi Picton and Chyna Collings for the trip to the south coast, admits that it has taken longer than expected to adapt to their new league.

“It would have been a bit boring if we were turning up and winning every week,” he said.

“We have had a bit of rebuilding to do, we’ve also changed our style and philosophy but I think everyone has now.”
