PETERBOROUGH United manager Grant McCann has revealed that 21-year-old Jamaican forward Junior Morias is training with the club.

Morias, is currently plying his trade for St Albans in the National League South but is expected to sign on the dotted line, to provide competition for Tom Nichols, Shaq Coulthirst, Lee Angol and Paul Taylor.

McCann has also been able to extend Luke McGee’s time with the club until the end of the season as the 21-year-old goalkeeper was due to go back to parent club, Tottenham Hotspur in January.

COVENTRY City have now diverted the hunt for their next manager towards former Wigan boss Gary Caldwell after they were turned down by Jimmy Floyd- Hasslebaink. The club have spoken to Caldwell twice and are trying to convince the 34-year-old to become Tony Mowbray’s long term successor.

NEWCASTLE United loanee Sammy Ameobi is expected to extend his stay with Phil Parkinson’s Bolton Wanderers.

The 24-year-old’s spell was due to come to an end in January, but Bolton manager Parkinson is desperate to keep hold of the winger, who has scored four times in 20 appearances.

Bolton chairman Ken Anderson told the Bolton News that fans shouldn’t expect a busy January transfer window.

“I don’t see many, if any, players coming in because I don’t think we have got room for them,” he said “Phil has done the opposite of what you might expect a manager to do and said he’d rather keep what he has got.”

The club are currently losing £800,000 a month and have a total of 17 players out of contract in the summer.

BURY continue to struggle with injuries and could be forced to play 16-year-old central defender Jacob Bedeau against Oxford United at the weekend Chris Brass handed the defender his debut in their 3-2 defeat at home to Millwall, where he came on as a substitute at half time and expects the youngster to play his second game this weekend.
