SWINDON Spitfires stretched their unbeaten run with a 3-0 victory at Supermarine Ladies to keep themselves hot on the heels of Swindon Town Ladies Development in the Wiltshire Premier League.
It took Spitfires, who are level on points with Town, a little while to find their rhythm against a well organised Supermarine side and the deadlock was not broken until the 33rd minute thanks to a strike from Lucy March.
After the break, Spitfires continued to dominate the game and they created a number of chances.
However, they did not double their lead until the 63rd minute when Laura Stallard’s long ball to Katrina Reynolds and her cross picked out Katie Wadey to head home.
Seven minutes later, the visitors sealed the points through a Charley Reynolds 25-yard strike.
Spitfires return to action on January 8 when they host Trowbridge Town.
Swindon Spitfires are always on the lookout for new players at any age. Anyone interested should contact club secretary Bev Maull 07519952598 or email at swindonspitfires@hotmail.com
