SWINDON Supermarine manager Dave Webb is looking for nothing less than three points when his side face North Leigh on Boxing Day.

Webb’s troops current sit in sixth place in the league table, with their opponents eight points behind them in 11th.

Earlier in the season, Supermarine had hit a rough patch in form, which saw them endure a run of one win in six.

However, Webb has since managed to steady the ship as his side are now unbeaten in their last six outings in all competitions.

The Supermarine chief is more than happy with how his side have managed to get their season back on track.

“We’ve shown a good reaction to the bad run that we have had. We are six games unbeaten in all competitions, so it is a good recovery from us,” said Webb.

“As I said at the start of the season, it was always our intention to be in and around the play-off spots at Christmas, and that is what we have achieved.

“We are looking forward to it. We go into it in good form and hopefully, we can keep that going as long as we try and win the game.”

Despite this, even if his side are to collect all three points at the Webbswood Stadium, Webb insists his team need to stay focussed if they are to maintain their league position.

“We know it’s Boxing Day against North Leigh and they’re a good side. They’ve made good runs in the cup competitions and have games in hand for the league.

“It’s going to be a really tough game.

“They have already beaten us at their place, although I admit we weren’t at our best in that game.

“In the new year, we face a different challenge with the strength of the league, so we need to try and maintain being in the top-six for as long as we can.

“It’s not going to be easy. We’ve spoke about what we need to do collectively but we are looking forward to it.

"If you look at the teams who are at the top of the league and the ones who are below us, they are all very good sides.”

Ahead of Monday's fixture, Webb has brought in winger Ryan Campbell from Chippenham Town.
