FAIRFORD Town manager Gareth Davies plans to shuffle his pack as his team get stuck in to some county cup action tonight.

Hellenic League Division One West promotion-chasers Fairford take on Chipping Sodbury of the Western League Premier Division in the quarter-finals of the GFA Challenge Trophy under the Cinder Lane floodlights (kick-off 7.45pm).

Davies’ men, who have notched 10 goals in their last two games, overcame Bristol Telephones and Longlevens in the previous rounds and despite his troops remaining in the hunt for silverware, the Fairford boss concedes that league matters remain his priority.

He may have one eye on the future but Davies still hopes to field a team that will be able to give Chipping Sodbury a run for their money.

“We want to do well in every game we play in,” said the Fairford chief.

“The league is our bread and butter and we’ll probably shift a few faces around tonight because we want to try and keep everybody fresh.

“We’ve got Tuesday-Saturday, Tuesday-Saturday coming up, so we’ve got a lot of games coming up, so we need to try and keep everyone fresh and we’ll probably change a few faces.

“Hopefully, we’ll get another good result because we obviously want to do well in everything.”
