OWEN Spavins’ hat-trick helped fire Swindon Supermarine J into the final the Wiltshire County Cup on Sunday with a 4-2 win.
Facing their clubmates Supermarine N on the Webbswood Stadium first team pitch, the J side found themselves 1-0 down early on.
However, parity was restored when Joah Hall broke through the N defence to score.
Spavins bagged the first of his treble to give his side the lead following some good work from Harry Johnson and Max Townsend before making it 3-1 after running on to a pass from Rhys Ward.
In the second half, both teams had chances to find the net, but it was the N team who managed to find the target first as they reduced the arrears.
The J side were having to withstand some good pressure from their clubmates, who were searching for an equaliser.
The game was finally put to bed when Spavins completed his hat-trick with a shot from the edge of the area.
U14 Division 1 Highworth Town Juniors U14 lost 2-1 to Swindon Supermarine R with virtually the last kick of the game.
Trailing 1-0 at the break, Highworth had dragged themselves level with a long range strike from Thomas Harris before Marine's late winner.
