DPR thumped the Division Two leaders Rodbourne Real 6-0 away from home in their top-of-the-table clash.

The win meant that Liam Lewis’ team moved within two points of the hosts, who remain in top spot.

However Lewis’s side could yet have the last laugh when they play their final league game of the season against Cleeve Tech, knowing a win will seal the title as Rodbourne have now completed all their fixtures for the campaign.

Lewis Chatwin, Jack Moody, Danny Horwood, Robbie Silk and Gianluca Constabile were all on target for the visitors, who recorded their fourth consecutive win.

“Both teams set up with their strongest sides and looked to play good football. The first half was very competitive,” said Lewis “We knew if we kept ourselves organised and do what we do best we would be okay. We were the better team throughout.

“It’s not over yet, we have a big game against Cleeve Tech where we need three points and then we have a cup final (against Woodlands Edge in the Chairman's Trophy), so we are looking at the double.”

The only other fixture which took place in Division Two saw Wanborough claim their first win of the season in a 4-1 triumph at home to Cleeve Tech.

In Division One there was just one fixture between Jovial Monk and Deers Leap, with the latter sealing a 5-0 away win.

Meanwhile in the third tier, the top two sides were unable to be separated as AFC Cricklade and Croft Junior drew 1-1.

Fourth-placed Haydon slipped to a 4-1 home defeat at the hands of Stratton Saints, who picked up their second win of the season.

However, Purton Freshbrook made the most of their home comforts as they registered 4-2 victory over Croft.

Division Four leaders Coleshill Youth maintained their four point lead over Athletico Marlborough with a 5-2 win at Swindon Athletic.

While second-placed Athletico Marlborough collected all three points with a narrow 4-3 win at the expense of Smart Movers.

The other two games saw two away wins as Nationwide were 4-1 victors at Gorsehill Borough as Rudis wrapped up three points in a routine 3-0 win at Chisledon Sunday.

Elsewhere there were 17 goals in the three Division Five games with eight of them coming in the 4-4 draw between Northern Lights and Save on Tyres Athletic.
